sometimes yes and sometimes no..and then sometimes,
I change my mind a dozen times while working on it.

    so to answer your question......."SOMETIMES"

If I like something I want to make, that's all it takes. I can find a home for it somewhere, my home or a very special gift.

never done a wall hanging. to me that is a luxury that I can't afford. just functional things get sewn here. but I have confidence that someday I'm gonna walk on the wild side and make myself something "pretty" just to look at. nah, I would give it away. lol

I make quilts, be it a bed quilt or wall hanging or table runner, because I love the process. I don't care if it never has a purpose. I have a very stressful life and quilting is my relaxation.

The latter. Sometimes I decide while the project is in the process and sometimes much later. I kinda let it speak to me as I work on it.

Generally the pattern bites me 1st. I have to have it and do it.

Right now I am making quilts and other items for family members so I know what and who the quilt etc is going to be used for before I start.
