O.K. I'm all hiped up after going to the quilt show Thursday and I want to go to more quilt shows!!! Could we start and share a list of quilt shows around the country or anywhere in the world for that matter? I don't travel much and seldom have knowledge of when and where there is a show but if I knew about one within, say, a two hour drive, I would certainly make an attempt to go and enjoy. What do you say? Do you know of a show coming up in the near future?

The Festival of Quilts takes place in the NEC Birmingham UK from 19th August 2010 to 22nd August 2010. It is always a wonderful event.

Dufferin Piecemakers Quilting Guild based in Orangeville Ontario Canada is presenting our fourth quilt show The Magic of Cloth Act 4-Sweet Sixteen Saturday, October 23 and Sunday October 24, 2010 at the Orangeville Fairgrounds. There will be over 300 quilts on display, a merchant mall, onsite quilt appraiser Judy Lyon, member's boutique, door prizes, Northcott challenge and student challenges, tea room, play area, domonstrations and a fabulous raffle quilt. Orangeville is a large town (25,000) just over an hour drive northwest of Toronto. Southern Ontario is incredibly beautiful in the fall(all those leaves)and would be a great spot for quilters to visit. It will be a fantastic show and everyone is invited! Parking is free, the site is wheel chair accessible and the admission is only $5.00. Visit us at www.dufferinpiecemakers.org for any other details.

Think I'll plan on catching all of those mentioned above...LOL Since I live in Lower Alabama (L.A.) that should be easily accomplished.
