I love the look but the pastel colors would never work with 2 cats and a husband who is not the cleanest person (works outside comes in with sawdust or river mud on himself and sits down in a chair) Painful.

Well now you can say your style is Shabby Chic and everyone will say you did a wonderful job of decorating. We have to go with what we have so may as well make the most of it. :-)
    I love Shabby Chic BTW

I got a chance to see the sample cloth and it was wonderfully smooth and silky feeling.
OMG! I will definitely look forward to this! I'm a huge fan of shabby chic and love stuff from Rachel Ashwell and Laura Ashley. In fact, I have a collection of shabby chic fabrics and will continue to buy fabrics to add to my collection. I've not sewn any shabby chic quilts yet but will be doing so pretty soon, once I've found a suitable pattern for my fabrics. My favourite fabrics are from Lecien...love the soft and romantic colours!

I hope they bring out something 1890-1910ish shabby for the bedroom, because that old-hotel-oak bedroom set is going to be around for while.
Scarborough Fair is a beautiful shabby chic collection! I just splurged on the fabrics too! ;)

Love Shabby Chic, and Rachel Ashwell. Several years ago I won Ashwell Fabric on ebay totally misread the add thought I was buying 3/4 yard of seven fabrics for $47.00 plus shipping from UK. Received 7 pieces that were 3 x 4 inches. I have never used them, keep in a very safe place, that is the most I have ever given for fabric. I will however be looking for rachell's new line here in the US.
