The last three quilts I gave away, I made pillowcases or drawstring bags for them. Wonder what everyone else is doing? I think I like the pillowcases the best..opinions welcomed!

Several years ago I made quilts for my BFF & another for her husband. For their Sept. & Oct. BDs, I made them pillowcases from the appropriate fabric. They thought I was nuts for sending them 1 pillow case--one w/ Christmas kitties & the other w/steam engines. They finally understood at Christmas.

I love to make pillow cases for my grandsons. The first time I made them the youngest one was about five and he would say he had a bad dream that night so I told him this was going to take away all of his bad dreams and he never said he had any more bad dreams. They love it when I bring them new ones. In fact, right now I wish I had some ice hockey fabric because the oldest grandson is into hockey. Does anyone know where I might find some.

    Thanks

Sandy, Timeless Treasures makes a great line of hockey fabric including the players, jerseys, helmets, etc. If you go to www.quiltshops.com and go to the item search you can find out alot of the online stores that carry what you are looking for with names of the shop and pictures (click on thumbnails). Just type in hockey.

I just finished making pillowcases for 4 of my grandsons for their July birthdays. The kids seem to like them.
