    I make my own patterns for art quilts -- usually from an original photograph. If so, maybe YouTube would help you.

    Beautiful, Chris! I wish I was better at computer stuff, but it seems that no matter how hard I try, it just doesn't come easy. I can re-size blocks and draw some stuff from scratch in EQ, but more complex stuff is a real struggle.

    Ckcowl gave some good advise. I do the same, starting with a paper and pencil just sketching out the idea. Applique, a lot of times, I use folded paper like making a snowflakes.Flowers and leaves work great that way. You also get any size you want.
