Well, Ellie (Elna), Ivory (white(actually tan) 301a Singer), Ebony (my beautiful black 301Singer), Abby (featherweight off of ebay), Annie (Singer Anniversary 2012), Flo my grandmother's Singer 66-6), Emily (my mother's Kenmore) yea, I name them and actually tell my husband which one I am going to go use. They all have their quirks and their talents. I have others and they are named, also.

Anita, Oh, to find another quilter who is afraid to try her new machine. I purchased a Symphony Baby Lock over 16 months ago and have yet to sew on it. I think I'm getting close as she keeps calling me. Perhaps if I name her, she won't seem so threatening.....

This thread is so funny. I do name most of my machines, also. And some of the cars I own or owned. My black FW is Maggie May, my HV Topaz 20 is Topaz (how original ??), my white FW "pending" name is Pearl, my old Kenmore is Katie. My car names are ..A 1965 Nova I owned when I was young was "Bertha", A Corolla was "Lola the Corolla", A Toyota Previa minivan was "The Mother Ship" and my newest is a 2 door MB roadster and her name is "Rosie" (she's red). There has been many cars and sewing machine that went un-named...Poor things LOL
