I quilt when ever I can. This Sunday, I rearranged my quilting room.

I do not quilt..sew..on Sunday. I am 63 yrs old but can remember as if it was yesterday...I was 10 yrs old. Had to bring an apron to school Monday. Mom wouldn't make me one as I waited until Sunday to tell her about it. Nana and Granddaddy came later that afternoon. I asked her about the apron. She made the apron for me but didn't like doing it. She reiterated that it was the Sabbath and we were to keep it holy. I took that apron to school the next day. In my haste to leave at the end of the day, I forgot the apron. It was never seen again. That apron to me disappeared because it was made on Sunday and it was wrong for me to have Nana make it. That memory has been with me for 53 yrs so needless to say...never have sewn on Sunday.

Some hold the religious belief of no work on Sunday. It doesn't seem to be as common anymore. However I find Sunday a day to do family things so usually don't quilt or sew on Sunday.

Yes, I do. I only have Saturday through Monday without grandchildren so it's the only time i really get to accomplish much on my own without little fingers.

Sunday is my biggest quilting day. With a full time job , a home, children, hubby and other obligations it is hard to find time during the week so SUNDAY is my quilting day
