and I enjoy it as much on Sundays as any other day of the week !!!!

I quilt just about every Sunday ! My DH loves to watch NASCAR and westerns so I give him the TV on Sundays so I can spend time in my quilt room. Works for both of us !!

Sunday is a day to rest and relax and quilting is certainly relaxing.

If I was quilting for money I wouldn't quilt on Sunday, but I don't anyway.

Folks took the Good Book very literally back then, particularly in the Bible Belt. Also, devout Orthodox Jews might approach Saturday sewing the same way. Today things are just different. Even devout, church-goers use Sunday for R&R after they have spent some time in worship.

I have heard this all my life too and think it is just one of those things that our elders felt was for a day of rest because they had no ohter down time. I do not usually sew on sunday because it is a day of rest for me but, if I wanted to I see no reason that I could not do it. It is not a sin. :)

I quilt on Sundays if I can. The grown children sometimes pop in on Sundays and I spend time with them.
