Default do you recognize this pattern?

A friend saw this quilt on tv and asked me if I knew the pattern.

It looks like it is a square in a square or something close. It looks more complicated because they used plaids in it.

I don't recall ever seeing this pattern before. It might be an original design someone made using different sizes of a square with a square with a border in various sizes. The plaids make a little more difficult to see the sizes accurately.

A quilter named KatherineEmma made a similar one on Craftster. I don't think they allow the link here as it is a rival message board so you will have to google it. I didn't find the pattern name but I didn't read all the messages.

That avatar quilt has sashing; I don't think the one in this thread is sashed.

These quilts are very similar, but not quite the same.

Another one in a similar theme but using rectangles in some of the spaces.

And then, there is a blue one.

And a very similar one from QB

I love the quiltsandquilttops website. There are so many ideas floating in my head after looking at the quilts.

I am so glad you posted this info. I had this website bookmarked and then my computer crashed and of course I couldn't remember everything I had bookmarked. I'm also glad I saw this this morning and not tonight before I went to bed. So much inspiration! This lady must not be easily distracted to finish so much. Some days I have the attention span of a gnat! Yep, that much! LOL
