I don't know if the exact pattern was ever found but I am saving this whole posting because of all the great red, white, and blue quilts that everyone linked to. There were several that I would really like to eventually make. Thanks everyone for posting all of those quilts.

There is a quilt using Friendship Stars and Rail Fence blocks on page 7 of the thread "show me your red, white and blue quilts" -posted by totosmom-- its quite a ways into the thread but think it might be the one you are looking for--has white star on blue background and red and white railroad fence. Good luck.
Yes, that is the pattern, but it isn't the exact quilt I saw. Thank you guys for all trying to help me. My daughter's boyfriend is a marine who will be shipping out in October and I would like to give him a simple red white and blue quilt. I am not the best quilter, but I think I can handle that simple design. Again, thank you to everyone who looked for me and pm'd me. I LOVE YOU ALL!!
