I save them. Probably won't use them myself, but when I get a decent amount, I will PIF to someone who will put them to good use :)

I love using them. I learned from experience that cutting them 1 1/4 inches works well for me. That doesn't cut too much off the fabric but still gives you a usable piece. Here is a pic of the sweatshirt jacket I made and I have all the blocks done for a quilt. Just haven't gotten it quilted yet as I plan to do it QAYG. Anyone who doesn't want them, I will be glad to pay your postage. Just PM me. :-)
    I love your jacket.

What is the minimum length of selvages that you save?

Yes and I have quilters who give them to me as well.

You can use those in all types of projects. I've seen entire dresses made with them, as well as gift items, wall art, and yes entire quilts.

Just as a couple others mentioned, I save the selvage until I'm assured I have enough fabric for what I'm sewing in case I need to try to find more; and then I put them in with those too small scraps/clippings to stuff small throw pillows. I don't cut off a 2" selvage either. Already have too much stuff I think I need to save!!
