I'm saving them for a "drag-about quilt". I think it will be cute and like the idea of using every bit of fabric. I know if I change my mind, someone here will want them.

I save mine but I use them to tie up my tomato plants. In fact I use them to tie up a lot of things.

Mine go in the trash unless I am saving for one friend or another. (One friend makes rugs with them, another makes quilty things of them.)

The only thing I have done with them is make rouched flowers. Batik or good muslin edges work well for those.

I saw a whole book on salvages. I save mine now and I also have my guild members saving them. I have already put together 10 (17x17) inch salvageblocks. To slice and dice up for things. pot holders, oven mits, pin cushions, laptop bag and I am going to make a quilt out of salvedges and antique feed sacs. Also place mats, cat rug, and so on. I am giving them away for Christmas. The are fun to work with. I have friends buying fabric when ever they go out of the country at least 1/2 yard and I use those salvedges also. I think I am addicted..................... it could be worse. heheheh

I do as Nancy in MN. I will tie up lots of things. Bundles of FQ's,huge bundles of left over batting and hubby even uses them on the tomatoe stakes and bean vines. Not that we need too but because I keep a bag in the garage, shop and in the cabinet on the carport. They are handy and tough. I have even tied stacks of newspapers and magazines to carry to recycle. And I am wanting to learn how to make the hooked rugs out of these things. Hey - I could even make some hooked place mats for the picnic table. ?Who knew?

Funny, there was just a topic today with a picture of a very neat selvage quilt! It was really neat (cant find it now). While I have no desire to use them, I do save them and have given them as a PIF or in a Secret Pal swap.

I do since I saw the tote bag made out of them. I love the bag and have since made it. It was fun and easy. Also saw a xmas stocking made with just xmas selvedges and it was adorable.
