    If I don't need to tie something up with them, off to the trash they go, geez I have enough scraps from my regular quilting and sewing!!!!

    I save mine and put them in a pretzel jar, I now have 3 large pretzel jars full of salvages and pieces.

    I usually cut as close to the selvage as possible - so usually there is only 1/4 to 1/2 inch cut off. I've started to cut next to the plain edge, so if there is a wider piece left on the "pretty" edge, I'll save that. Only because some people here have been asking for them.

    I would love them. send me a pm if onbody has claimed them and i will send you my address, and I will send you the postage and some Michigan fabric that you may not be able to get.

    when you go to Georgia where do you stay? my sister lives in Big Canoe and has her quilt art in a Gallery there.

    I toss 'em in the pile with other snippets that I donate to a quilt shop that collects them for a pet shelter. They use all those tiny snippets to stuff pet beds. The selvedges don't appeal to me, but a dog or cat won't care what made their bed soft and warm!
