    I did in my king sized black quilt. The white could have poked through the stitching and would have shown.

    Just finished one with black batting because the top was mostly black and the back was black fannelette so to prevent and show through I used black. Usually use natural Warm and Natural though on all other quilts.

    I use it on quilts with either all or mostly dark fabrics. I've only used the Hobbs black batting, though. Typically I use Warm and Natural or Warm and White on 90% of my quilts.

    I have a package of grey batting, I'm just waiting for the right quilt to use it with.

    I didn't even KNOW black or gray batting was available!!!!! I'll definately use it on my next dark quilt...I've been grousing because my black/white/red quilt has the batting poking thru and the white batting REALLY shows!

    Black is great. I have used it several times on darker quilts and on one that I handstitched with a variegated color thread. Came out beautifully.
