I do wash them to remove any starch, glue, etc. Also I've noticed that I have less loose strings to pick off if I check it after it's dried. :)

I have been using the Shout sheets in the washer ever since they came out with them. They really work. They can be found in the laundry section of your grocery store etc.

Yes I do :D It makes them softer and removes any glues and such that I use to construct them. Also it is better to know before you give it to them if a seam is going to come loose or it shrinks in a funky manner

I was thrilled when the grocery store started caring Shout color catchers. Not only do they save the day with my quilting fabrics, but my sons wouldn't have had to wear pink football uniforms if they had been discovered earlier. They are quick to remind me to put one in the washer.

Hi Polly-13. Ditto. I use Wal-Mart also. Shout catchers are great for all my wash. What did we do before they were invented? They are relatively inexpensive too.

Shout color catcher sheets....love them! I even put them to the test when I bought a red and white quilt kit; and I washed all the fabrics together. The gal who owns AbbiMays, where I bought the kit, was so impressed she asked for permission to post my results on her blog.
