    I have used way too too too much ink printing off a lot of the free ones...but then, think how much those books cost, so maybe ink is still cheaper for us?

    Definitely I use the free patterns. I usually 'wing it' from my stash but sometimes do buy the fabric reccommended.

    Don't use them, don't save them, don't like 99%* of them. In an effort to "show off' an entire line of fabrics, the designer is forced to ignore all principles of design. The result is usually a 'fabric puree' imho.

    *That lonely 1% is an occasional batik pattern, and even then I only save them for color inspiration.

    I also keep a folder in my favorites for "Quilting Ideas".
    I have on occasion bought the fabrics.....wonderful choices!

    I have -some times I may change a fabric or 2-especially if its pink and/or purples or if I have something close in my stash I'll use it but I also have made them out of completely dif fabrics
