I used one but not the fabric. It came out good. I have a binder full of patterns that I am going to try one day...

I did once, but it was because the fabric was so absolutely beautiful. It was a collage of different sizes and shapes of blocks of different poses of modernistic horses in wonderfully bright colors. The pattern was free, of course, but I had to shop both at my LQS and then 3 other stores online to get all of the fabric variations needed, because none of them carried the full line, and some carried it in a different color combo. (Have to confess it's all together in a project box still waiting to be made. LOL!)

I print them off and keep them in a large notebook. I probably will never have to buy a pattern.

I use and bookmark the "free" patterns. I have never used the fabric they use or suggest.

That sounds like maybe you had the Laurel Burch horses... can't remember what the name of the collection was, but they were gorgeous and bright and came in a "vivid" colorway and a "smoky" one.

I print the ones that I find interesting and when I make one, I use my own choice of fabrics. I have far more in my folders than I have made or probably will ever make. But if I get around to it, I have them!!!

I use them and love them as we can use them in group sewing and whatever without worry of the copyright laws I usually use the same fabric as our quilt shop also prints them off and makes the kits so now I have both to many kits and to many patterns but I love them

I have a folder on my desktop that is loaded with pdf's of future quilts.
