I have been making a blanket for my husband and I and it uses two different plaid patterns. I don't like how some of them aren't QUITE straight, but oh well. I like the way it looks! I used the same fabrics for a toddler quilt for my son and it looks GREAT.

I'd say if you find a plaid you like, go for it!

I use plaids in scrappy quilts. I use them to create shapes where none exist. Faux piecing. Plaids are pretty cool.

Marion and Betty - absolutely love your both quilts. My daughter loves stars and plaid so I''m hoping to make her one with both for Christmas. Maybe the friendship star? not sure and not sure what color for the background

I used plaids in this one...here's a link to where I posted pictures before.....I love the way that it pulled the quilt together.....I have several plaids in my stash so I am bound to use it again :-)

I love plaids and have used them in several of my quilts. I think they add a quaint kind of country charm to certain quilts. I like to use them cut on the diagonal so being not straight is intentional and you don't have to worry about keeping the lines straight.
