I have books on Hold all of the time :D:D:D I love getting the notice that I have one sitting there waiting for me!!!
Ours can get them from all over the western part of the state... so I don't think I will ever run out of quilting books or fiction, either :D:D:D

I do all the time. In fact I have about 6 now as I am getting ideas for vacation.

I also have one on order but beginning to think it is lost as it has been a couple of weeks.

If I really like the book, I'll then try and get it on Amazon or paperbackswap.com (a book club where you only pay the shipping when you mail a book or buy credits, check it out.)

If all else fails, I buy from Barnes and Noble.

I go to the library once in a while. Went this weekend and found a few xmas books that had some really good patterns. I am looking for other holiday patterns as I really don't have many.

I use the library a lot! I go every two weeks. There are so many books available.

I love the Keene Public Library,
They do not have many quilt books.
However, they do buy or get from another library (on loan) any book I ask for.
I am a devoted mystery reader and of that they have a vast collection.
Lots of videos - have never checked what they are as I have no idea how to work my DVD player.
Plus I have no time - I'm a fanatic baseball fan, subscribe to MLB to get NY Mets games (I live in NH). That and fabric are my 2 indulgences. The latter a very costly one.

I am thinking of joining a local library. I was wondering who belongs to a library.

    Karen "Craftybear", Indiana, USA
I get books from the library constantly! In fact I put a "hold" on books that I want, the library calls me to tell me they're in, I stop by on my way to work and pick them up. It's a great system.
I use the library to preview books and the ones that I like, I order off Amazon. No more buying books, sight unseen.
