Ok. that makes sense. I have washed all of them except for one and I think you are right, the fusible didn't stick as well....Sometimes I just get impatient and just want to get to it....

I have made about 10 bags so far and have not washed any of the fabric first. I haven't had any problem with the FF sticking. I do wash after I'm done because of the quilting marks I drew.

Dingle....Did it shrink much after you washed it? I have wondered about the washing aspect of these bags.

When I am just cross hatching I mark diagonally across the bag with a piece of masking tape and follow the line. I then use my walking foot with guide for the rest. This way I have no marks to remove. I am kind of addicted to the masking tape, I hate marking and marks.

No, I wash in cold and put it in the dryer for a little bit. It's still a little damp when I take it out. I usually have to put the lining back in the bag. I then form it and hang it from a door knob to finish air drying. Looks like it was never washed. Still nice and crisp. But I do use the heavy FF for the outside of the bag and the regular for the rest. Makes it more firm.

Any chance you happen to know the name or number of the heavier FF? Would love to be able to have more "body" to my bags
