I always wash my completed quilts. Love the way they look! :D:D

Wash on normal, dry on high. I make quilts for real life, if they can't take the slight "beating" that a washer and drier is going to give them then they will never hold up "in real life"!

    After completing a quilt..
I wash it in the washer - cold water / normal cycle.
Fragrance-free/dye free detergent and no fabric softener.
    Then normal dryer setting.
You just never know who is allergic/sensitive to what.. especially when handling baby quilts.

Yes... Sometimes pre wash, depending on color, always give it a bubble bath afterwards, w/color catcher detergent and a little white vinegar. let it all soak for a while, double rinse w/diluted softner, than dry w/sheets... want to give a Fluffy Snugglie right off... JMO ....anyone allergic can rewash.

Yes I always wash after binding. My quilts get pretty dirty from dragging around. I liked the idea of the sachet thing to make it smell good after washing and before giving away. But then I read about someone might be allergic. Too many things to think about isn't there.

I was going to say the same thing. Also wash when quilt is finished and dry in the fresh air outside. :)

yes I always wash after they are done and I ALWAYS use color catcher. I recently started washing my fabric before because of all the chemicals in them
