In this economy, I was wondering how many of you work at home, what exactly do you do, and does it provide a good income? I am looking for something to do besides cooking, cleaning, and pulling weeds!:-)

I do work at home, unfortunately it brings in no income though. Kids just don't pay much when it comes real money. :)

Been there!! Have been a stay-at-home mom since child's birth, except when I went through divorce. Back to stay-at-home mom. Child is graduating in June and off to college!! Enjoy!! It goes by sooooo fast! That's why I'm looking for something to do!!

Well, I have a part time job out of the house, but also work at home. What I do though, is alot of little things to make extra income at home. First of all, I do alot of online surveys, Mypoints, ect. Not a lot of money, just a little extra, plus I earn gift cards here and there. I recycle aluminum, ect....I live in the country, and walking I can find ALOT of cans, free exercise, plus stuff to recycle. I also grab cans at work and friends and my parents save for me. I rummage sale and take alot of our hand me downs, ect to a thrift store in town, sometimes you can do great with that. A few weeks back I got a box full of free mags at a garage sale...I tied them up into years and sold them for 5.00 bucks a year, after I read them, LOL!
I also coupon, rebate, I figure being frugal is like a second job, too. In the Summer, I sell some of my garden produce, and I also pet sit! Yeesh, need to find more time to quilt!

I work at home, but it doesn't pay anything! We are refurbishing an old house so I do drywall mud and paint. Lately we've been working in the master bathroom. We made it functional before we moved in last october, but now we're finishing it with beadboard on the walls with chair rail, built in laundry cabinets, crown molding, baseboards, medicine cabinets, etc. I painted the walls above the beadboard burgundy yesterday and today, after my sewing group, I need to paint the beadboard and chair rail. Next, we do the living room, starting with drywall! I'd rather be quilting!

I used to work from home but it got hard to separate family time from work time. I worked for a local bridal shop doing alterations. I worked all the time, even weekends to keep up with their demands. I had no time off, not even Sundays because of the work load they put on me. I used my machines and have a ssewing room in my house but I lost so much time with my kids because I was always working. I burned out. I work full time now outside the home and that works much better for family life. I also have only one child left at home, not 6 so life is easier now.

Check out this site, it is legit. They have segments on Good Morning America. They have legit site for working from home. This is where my sister got her job. You have to apply like any job and you get a very long phone interview and sometimes a test. They don't require any money except for making sure you have the right computer and phone equipment.

CarrieAnn you are one busy lady! You MUST be in your 30's with tons of energy to share! You have so many great ideas and I thank you for posting those suggestions!
