But lately my eyes are drawn to the modern brights of Amy Butler and designers like her. I've even been passing on (selling) my claicoes so I can buy some of these brights. Amazing because when I first saw them I immediately didn't care for them. Maybe this is a common occurrence of the aging process? Do your tastes change like this too?

I have yet to meet a fabric I didn't like, some I loved more than others. It's kind like eating vegetables. When we were young, there were things we weren't very fond of such as brussel sprouts, hominy, spinach. As we have gotten older, we end up liking and enjoy those veggies because your tastes mature and change.

I have noticed that my tastes have changed a lot since I started quilting about 10 years ago. Back then it was a lot of large flower prints and more muted colors, now I am into brights and I have a real addiction to polka dots and anything with circles on it. I am using up my older fabrics as scrape blocks and it is amazing how that changes the look of the fabric.
