Does anybody use the bias tape makers?

I have the Clover Bias Tape makers in a couple of different sizes and really like them.
I don't iron my bias tape in half because I use it for applique stems, but I do wrap it around a toilet paper tube and pin the end. It stays nice and flat.

I took a class in The City Quilter in NYC on using the Clover bias tape maker. We used the one that you can feed the tape thru with the fabric and they come out as one. Then all you have to do is peel the paper backing of the other side of the tape and iron it on where you want it. It was a little hard getting used to. It ended up working well.

I just made bias tape to go around a night gown armnole I'm making my Mom for Christmas. The bias tape maker is the best thing since sliced bread. Actually better, bc I'm not much of a bread eater. I love it. Now I want the rest of the tips.

I made a stained glass quilt several years ago, and made my own bias seam binding sorta, to go between each pane. it was fun. a lot of work, but the quilt is beautiful. even made a second, and divided it into like 4 wall hangings for all my girls. they were beautiful.

I just LOVE my Clover bias makers!! I have all sizes and use them for all kinds of things - trims, stems, and bindings. I used to make my bias strips like the one on youtube - with the pin on the ironing board, using the Clover Bias Maker is much easier and quicker!! :lol: :!:

I have metal ones, but had no real reason to use them.
I got them years ago when I was sewing things for my little girl.
But, I just began appliqueing and I will try it for making stems. I sure hope it works. I bought a package with several sizes.
