    http://www.amazon.com/Magniclip-Clip...6508269&sr=8-1

I took a class in hand applique and found that I can't stitch easily without taking off my glasses as the reading part of my bi-focal probably isn't strong enough. Fairly new glasses that I don't want to replace yet - $$$$.

Even taking them off, I can't see at my best out of one eye because there is a refraction correction in the reading part.

Found these and seems as if it would solve my problem.

Has anyone used them? If so, what do you think? Thanks in advance.

I have bi-focals and I use those clip on all time when I'm doing embroidery and such. they work great for me. A friend uses them for the computer. I think I got mine from Keepsake Quilting. Didn't think they were this expensive but maybe were. I've had them seveal years.

The magnifying glasses are great, though you would need to try them to see what strength you would need. A +4 is very strong I'm using a 2.

When you find the right ones you won't know yourself. :D

Oh wonderful! Thanks for the replies. I saw them in the Keepsake Quilting catalog for 12.99 which is a good price compared to some other on-line sellers.

The catalog recommends 2x for people that wear bi-focals. Heading off to order...

    Thanks again.

Yes, I use them all the time for hand piecing my quilts. Couldn't do without them. I just clip them on my bifocals and what a difference. I think I bought mine at Joann's Fabric.

I used them for years for cross stitch and have used them a few times at the sewing machine. Made a world of difference.
