I worked for HV several years ago - although we were supposed to "sell it up", I could never justify trying to talk someone into buying it - lol. I actually did some free motion on it in the shop but was frustrated with the small work area. It looks good in principle but would take patience and practice to do anything large IMHO.

The biggest down side to it is.... you have approx 5 x 7.... I'm sorry I didn't research the exact size .... of an opening...... so you are all set up with your quilt & all you can do is stitch within this small space...then stop with your needle down..... and move the whole unit as far as it will go and start over again.

I have one with my Sapphire. I used it a good bit It does take practice. You have to move it in the opposite way you want the quilting to go I don't use it much now because It is pretty easy to do free motion quilting on my Baby Lock Symphony.

Hang in there! You will get better.

I have a D1 and looked into the Fab mover but felt it was too expensive for me. I heard about a "slider" that you could buy. I think Leah Day advertises it. So I went online for a piece of Teflon sheeting. I found a piece about 1yd sq. I set up my quilting extension table, cut a hole in the Teflon sheeting for the needle (don't need feed dogs for fmq) and taped it to the body of my machine. My fabric slides across it like sliding on ice. Such a good item for such a small price... Works for me... imho

Thanks for enlightening me...I too, don't think it sounds too great. I like the Teflon sheeting idea.
