I don't scream & yell but I walk away from it for awhile, go outside, get something to drink(Mountain Dew) and then go back about half an hour later. I usually have a better attitude than when I walked away from it.

I did not want to read this topic!

My husband says everything I do is "blue" from all the cussing going on in the room! Sometimes there is even smoke!
AND it is usually "user error"!
Whether it is the embrodery machine, the cutting mat and roller, the sewing machine, the straight pins or the quilting machine!
I feel such a failure  And then the sun comes up on a new day!

""" A good number of my half-finished quilt tops have ended up in the wastebasket. I should have "unsewed" them and re-used the fabric, but by that time I was hating the fabric as much as I hated the quilt top.""""

I used to un-stitch other people's cross stitch! You need someone to do that for you!

hey, just put it in the donate pile and move on to another quilt design - there's plenty out there to choose from. i haven't done the log cabin because i have seen a lot of mixed reactions to it. just don't give up quilting because one pattern or type isn't your thing. do a smaller project like a wall hanging or a table runner or something and if you still want to tackle it again it will still be there but it's not a "must do". :)

Haven't figured out why so many have trouble w/ the log cabin. I've made several and never had a problem. Perhaps I shouldn't gloat. The next one may be a 'stinker'.
