I whole heartedly agree. I would much rather change a needle than pay for a new bobbin case or a more costly repair.

I know full well I upgraded to a machine that was beyond me at first. My confidence was soaring after I bought a £75 Brother LS14 machine and I thought I was the bees-knees... then I bought the behemoth Singer 9980 and I was terrified of breaking it. Getting better every time and I dont make as many mistakes with it and can troubleshoot it a little better but maybe I should have gone for an inbetween first lol I never do things by halves...
