You can send them to me, I love purple! :-D

Mine tends toward the blues and purples, then yellows.

I gravitate towards browns, but when shopping with my girlfriends, they make me buy bright oranges and lime greens!!

I've been buying purples and greens lately and have a decent stash built up of them. Purple for the eventual cathedral quilt for myself (with purple windows and black background). I want to make a quilt for my boyfriend further down the line (no idea what) and he really likes green (guess it comes from being Irish).

I seem to have been going in streaks with certain fabrics. I notice I have a pile of blacks and whites as well as a pile of reds and pinks. Usually when I design quilts I imagine them in black, white, and red first (you'd think I was the secret third member of the White Stripes!) I have a pile of blues with the idea that I would make some sort of water themed quilt. A bunch of water color and marbles, bought them on a whim thinking I could use them for my stained glass wallhangings (turns out for half of them the color was WAY off...but good thing some of them were blues and greens! Tee hee. :D ) Now its the purple and greens.

I have small piles of yellow, blue, brown, and neutral colors, and then there are the greens and rose colors. Never realized I had twice as much of these colors. Am I in a rut??? Should I go out and buy more of the "skimpy" color piles?? What would you do? It is still light outside and the stores are still open!

Don't feel bad. I had a colleague tell me that my wardrobe consisted of these colors: purple, blue, green, black with a little red. I went home shocked...looked in my closet and found she was right...rofl. I looked at my fabric and saw the same thing except I buy muslin instead of black. I just try to live with it and buy fabrics outside my comfort zone when I am "forced" to do so by a project or when I find a scrap bag with lots of colors.
