Does anyone else LIKE WalMart fabrics?

I have purchased fabric at Walmart. Some is good and some is bad. It's the same at our JoAnn's. Some of their fabric is pretty bad, too. If I like it, I check it out. If it feels good and looks good, I buy it. I can't always afford to buy all the fabric at my LQS, although I try to buy as much as I can from them. We need to keep them in business!

I have complained to managers of the stores in my area but it hasn't done any good.

Walmart.com and then find the contact us section. Lots of luck.

WalMart has discontinued fabrics at all their super stores in Alberta Now we have to travel a inimum of 40 miles to get any kind of fabric. In the Leduc Wetaskiwin area this is a real inconvenience becausethere are no other fabric stores so it means a trip to Edmonton. Camrose, Drayton Valley or Red Deer. There are approx. 12 guilds and/or quilt clubs that have been inconvenienced. Thanks a lot Walmart we really appreciate your consideration! Jane

The problem I'm seeing is places like Joann's and Hancocks have gone up on their prices since WM discontinued fabric. At least they have in my neck of the woods.

Ah! The wonders of free enterprise and the entrepreneurial spirit! Which means: "Gouge 'em if there is no competition."

I have placemats made with their fabric that have stayed bright through dozens of washings. True, they have some cheap stuff, but I have found good VIP stuff there that have held up well.

I like buying from Walmart. The price is right and even though the selection is not enormous it is alot easier for me to make a decision. I don't do well when given to many choices and in those cases usually get discouraged (or confused) and don't buy any.
