Yes I do because I can feel the pressure of the pedal better. When I was taking classes on my new machine I told the lady I had to take my shoe off for this reason. on SIL

I just had this thought-the Japanese always take there shoes off before entering their homes. I read somewhere if we all did this we wouldn't bring in the germs of the world with us. I always wished I had a cloak porch so the boys could take all their stuff off there & not strow it all thru the house.

Sorry I don't agree, I have to wear shoes or a sandal depending the season. I can't sew without them on. Maybe its because I work in a sewing factory (ever since I graduated from high school) and there you aren't suppose to sew without shoes--I just never got use to doing it barefoot. Maybe I should try it, give me a minute---------NO WAY feels to weird--got to put my sandals back on.

I can not sew with my shoes or slippers on. I have to kick of mine too. I don't know why but I always have done it. when I use to go to quilt classes I was the only one there with no shoes on.
