I have never sewn with shoes on. When I took classes, before I registered for the class, I made sure that it was ok to take my shoes off.

Barefoot! I garden barefoot too! My DH is a stickler for shoes every where and yells when I go barefoot outside. he grew up city boy, what does he know :) I love to feel the earth and my sewing pedal under my feet! I even learned to drive a car barefoot! I still do in the winter when no one is looking :) And I hate wearing coats, gloves and or a hat, even in the winter. :)

Barefoot is the best. My mother on the other hand always had to have something on her feet even if only walking 10- 12 feet. I must have gotten the barefoot thing from my father. I also have foot problems, which seems to be a common thread here too.

When I took my pp class, I had to take off my boots because I couldn't feel the petal!

Usually barefoot or in socks for the machine.

I hate wearing shoes!! It must be the southern gal in me!! My fiance teases me about it all the time. When I was a kid, my brother and I spent the summers at our grandma's house in western Virginia (Clincho, VA). By the end of the summer I could run up and down the chunky gravel road with no shoes on! :-D I can't remember ever wearing shoes when I sew. Well, actually I did wear them sometimes: when I had to in home ec class!

I sew barefoot, or with socks. Believe it or not, I cannot wear shoes going up and down my stairs in the dark. I have to be able to feel the floor. Same with sewing, I have to feel the pedal or I end up messing up because I step harder than I should and take off too fast lol. Maybe I am just weird LOL
