Default Does anyone have a Bernina 570 QE?

LBS has their summer sale. Always wanted a Bernina, just not sure what makes them so different?
Only do quilting now as a hobby.

    Opinions please.

I don't have that Bernina but I have a Bernina that I adore. It's just so problem-free. I've had other machines but I love my Bernina most of all.

I just looked it up. It's similar to mine. Mine is a 150QE. It's so reliable.

All of the older Berninas were made in Switzerland with superb machining of the parts. Nowadays, though, only the few most expensive Berninas are still made that way. Most are made in other countries, which means they are not made with as much precision. I would check reviews of the specific model you are interested in at patternreview.com.

There's no difference except cost. I have used a 5 series and 7 series and feel the are overpriced for what they offer feature wise. I tried to like them but I much prefer my brother to any. I honestly feel it's all about buying a name

I'm chiming in again. I've had my Bernina since 2002 and it has never had an issue. Not one!

I have an older Bernina. Never had a problem with it. I use it for fmq small projects and general piecing. I am blessed to be able to buy any machine I want and I choose a Brother. For the price the Bernina didn't have the features of the Brother. At my age I won't be sewing for decades more to care about a machine to last a life time so why pay for that.
