I have one and have used it a couple of times. However, I wear gardening gloves that I got a home and garden show years ago -- the bottom of the fingers and the palms are something sticky and the tops are a fabric. Love them.

I had one and just gave it away. I bought the Martelli one as hand was in a cast but could grab the round handle on the Martelli. I use it when hands hurt from the weather.

I use garden gloves too and I cut the finger tips off of the thumb and index fingers so I can still thread the machine and pickup pins.
