    I have my grandmothers quilt with the same star I think. She died last year at 102. I wish I could ask her.

    Lonestar, 30's -40's fabric but could have been made later. You can hand wash this by soaking it in oxy clean or efferdent over night then wringing out in a towel and let dry outside with a sheet over and under it til damp then press dry.

    Lone Star; I've also seen it called Bethlehem Star.
    Perhaps, like me, the quilter had a "lone star gone wrong" and her solution was a 9th diamond arm.

    Very close. Looks like yours has 8 points and the one I have is 9 points. What a treasure you have...oh the memories! Thanks for sharing the photo. I love it.
