I've seen it called fancy Dresden Plate, but you might find the name and pattern on Quilter's Cache, or just search the web for Dresden Plate and it might be there. Good luck. It's a very interesting block, and I think it's an older quilt block, like Depression era. Good Luck.

one very similar, "Dresden plate: Friendship Circle" 1933 is found in Beyer's Quilters album of patchwork patterns page 374-8.
