I want to make a scrappy log cabin, but almost all of my batiks are medium to dark fabrics. Need a collection of lights to balance everything out. A collection of half-yards would be great, but haven't found any online so far.

Have you looked at Seawatch Fabrics? http://www.seawatchfabrics.com/Produ...k.php?show=All

I don't see 1/2 yd bundles, but you can by 1/2 yd pieces. Prices are great and free shipping over $30 orders. Fast shipping too. I've been very happy with my orders.

Another new lighter color batiks is Tonga Treat Taffy. They are strips, might come in yardage too. I can't remember which shops have them but several do. Google will help you find them if you're interested.

Have you tried contacting Roberta from this board? She has tons of batiks and could probably bundle some lights for you. Her batiks are beautiful and priced just right!

Try www.Clothtide.com, just type in batiks & there are several all sizes of charms, FQs, etc.
