.....of a Hand Quilting Guild in the Charlotte NC area? I joined a Guild last year and was really excited but all the emphasis is on machine quilting, machine embroidery, and machine applique and the best place to send a quilt to be long armed. I really need either a Guild or just group of ladies who hand piece and hand quilt. It would be nice to have someone to share this skill. Any ideas?

Have you asked your LQS? Ask the ladies of your guild if they may know anyone. My guild has several ladies who have made there own little round robin group, they all hand piece and hand quilt, turning out beautiful work.

Yes, I asked at my LQS before I joined the Guild and they didn't have any customers who hand pieced/quilted. No one in my Guild has directed me to anyone (they know I only hand piece/quilt. I'll keep trying!!

Put a blurb on Craigslist in the groups or artistic sections.

Do you have a senior center where you live? I join the group there and we have lots of hand quilters and hand applique people.

Check with churches, several have groups that still hand quilt.
