    Years ago there were tons of quilts made of gingham. I would use it and use a fine stitch because it does ravel, if you are afraid of the ravel use a 3/8" seam and the small/fine stitch length and have fun!

    I love gingham but generally avoid it because it is usually printed on blends. Sometimes, I just can't help myself.

    I just finished doing two quilts for LINUS that were totally done in 6 inch squares, all gingham, different colors, different size checks..........they came out pretty cute ...............

    I've considered doing a vintage 9-patch with ginghams. Think it would be very old-timey looking.
