Default Does Anyone Remember This Quilt?

Someone here posted their lovely quilt and I failed to mark the thread apparently as I cannot find the original thread. The poster gave general directions on how to replicate her quilt. I would really like to make a quick quilt, as I've been working on a complicated quilt and I need something less so.

    Hi Onalee,

I think that's a jelly roll quilt. All the strips are 2 1/2" wide. I believe the centers and the long sides are 6 1/2" in length as well as the pieces on each end are also 6 1/2". Here's an image of it from EQ:

Linda, this is how I was thinking of how to explain it. It's amazing how much my geometric visual skills have improved since I started quilting!

Much of this quilt can be strip pieced, too, which makes it more inviting to make in my mind.

This looks like a very pretty quilt pattern. Doesn't look too hard either.

I really like this, particularly in the soft colors. But how do you line up the rows without seams to match? I am envisioning this coming out very strangely (at my house).

    hugs,

This looks like my quilt in progress Mine is using a jelly roll (2 1/2" strips WOF). Here is how I cut and assembled it

and this is how I put then together

When arranged this way - two rectangles sewn tog are 12 1/2" unfinished or 12" finished. Hope this helps.

No, no,not having seams to match should make it very easy. Go for it.

you can see how the quilt was made. Long flower pieces on either side of the green strip then pieces on top and bottom of that rail fence type block. Quite simple. I'm guessing the strips finish at 2" by 6". But could be scaled down or enlarged quite easily

I'd suggest making up and down columns then when putting them together, stagger the columns so the BLOCK seams hit half way on the next blocks. Probably have to measure and mark the half way point a time or two
