    I too use this batting. I buy it by the roll. It is perfect. Little shrinkage and washes like a dream. I Love Love Love it. The price is right too. No bearding with it when I do hand quilting and keeps it definition when I do heritage machine quilting on a quilt.

    I use polyester batting when I want more "poof" ("puff"??? tomayto, tomahto), such as in a little girl's quilt at that 4-10 years-old stage.

    I also hand quilt. I've used Hobbs 80/20 but am switching to Quilters Dream Request which is especially made for hand quilting.
