We don't have a Joann fabrics close to us so I can't use their 50% off coupons for batting :( Does anyone know if Hancocks has coupons like that?

Yes but you have to sign up for the circular to get the coupons.

Watch for Joann's online coupons and sales:
    http://www.joann.com/joann/search/se...questid=591853

50% off online coupon code valid until 5/14 (and then there will be another one ;-) ) KBP914

Granted, you will have to pay for shipping, but it still might be worth it to you.

If you buy a whole bolt (40 yards) the shipping is only $18, so it comes out to under $6/yard. I know that's probably more than you want to buy, but the shipping charges didn't seem onerous.

Last year there was a special, and folks were getting the whole bolt for under $200 including shipping. You never know.

Shipping for a package of batting was $7.

at Hancock's when you sign up to be a prefered shopper, you get a flyer with 40% off any reg. priced notion, 40% off any one piece reg. price fab (that's when i buy the batting) and they 50% off one item on a certain day and senior discounts (can't get that yet) and lots of other things, the prob. is most things i want are on sale the day i'm there :hunf:

I was just at Hancocks yesterday and used my Joanns coupons. I had a scratch off for 50% off and they let me use that too.

Unfortunately HF does play the sale game. It always amazes me fabrics that are not marked on sale show up for 20-30% off so you can't use the 40% on them unless you insist and the manager overrides the pricing (40% off original not sale). And they've marked up their fabric to cover the 20-30% spread. ARGH!

I bought some material the last time I was there....brand not on sale. All the sudden I get told that it is on sale because all the "baby fabric" is on sale.

I find Joanns to be much better than HF. Either something is on sale or it isn't. I rarely have a hard time finding something at J's to use a coupon on....

Hancock's has recently changed policy back to being able to used your coupon for sale fabric. You can do which ever is the best price. And they do honor competitor's coupons for merchandise that both places sell.
