only when other people's priorities interfere. Sometimes I go days without sewing; if it is my own prerogative then I'm fine ;-)

I am the same. I have to have a little sewing room time every day or stress builds up. My husband likes to go to town every day to walk at the mall and eat lunch out. Some days I just want to stay home and sew in my pj's all day. I have gotten in the habit of sewing most afternoons. Then we can run around in the mornings. That makes both of us happy. Sewing is good therapy.

Yep, if I haven't sewed for a couple of days, it get dangerous to be around me!

I might not sew all summer because my room is in the basement and when the weather is so nice I want to be outside. I'll only go when it's raining or otherwise too bad to be outside. Maybe when it's 100 in July! I have other outlets like crocheting I do when I'm upstairs and watching TV.

I have to be careful sewing does not become addictive at the expense of all other things. It could very easily become that way for me and since I'm retired now my time is less clock specific. Before I know it I've spent the day either sewing or planning a project and the day is gone. I don't want to be so one dimensional so have to put the brakes on sewing sometimes. I must admit however I am a happier person when I can sew some.

I have to get in there when the mood hits. Then I'm happy. If I have choc chip ice cream AND sewing, even better!

Sewing is definitely my therapy. If I can't sew, then I like to at least iron/cut fabric, or get a project ready to go, etc. But since my machine had to go to the doctor, I am adjusting to getting an older machine going for the meantime...

When I have days that are too full of drama/work/crapola....

I at least walk by my sewing machine and give her a little pet...sometimes I even turn her on so she can make that startup chime back at me.... and maybe I move a few stacks of fabric around or something.

    It' all therapeutic.

My job is very stressful at the moment - new boss throwing his weight around - and if I didn't have a stress reliever I'd probably commit violence. I sew mainly on the weekends but evenings I may go in and organize/pet fabric or read a quilting magazine or look at quilts online. I look at quilting as cheaper than therapy or alcohol.

    Speaking of alcohol, skyangel....

I decided that sewing and alcohol *do* mix.

A little caramel vodka with coke.....

Or a little Sweet Tea flavored vodka with lemonade.

I'm going to try it out today... I'll let ya know how it goes... lol
