My DH is a great guy who would do whatever I asked him to an most often notices what I need before I do but he does not help with quilting. Just not his gig but that is okay, I don't work long days fixing sterilizers, hospital lights and surgical tables to take care of the family. We all have our cross to carry.

My DH is wonderful! He helps with anything I need and supports my quilting all the way. I told him he needs to write a book on how to be the perfect husband!

Yes, in his way. We are 51 years married, and he buys me wonderful machines, never complains about what I spend, compliments me on everything I make, pays someone to clean and iron his shirts so I am free to play, and loves me. Couldn't ask for any better. He made quilts when he was young and bedridden with rheumatic fever, and appreciates the work involved.

But he does his fair share of the housekeeping, all the cooking, doesn't say a word to me about how much time or money I spend quilting, listens patiently to my "somebody on QB said" stories and admires everything I make.

So he helps in his own way.
Wait! that's MY DH! LOL! My DH does all this.

We are joined at the hip. We do everything together.(except he goes on the roof I don't) 44 years and we know each others moves. He and I have taught our children and grandchildren all we know. You should see our team work.
Houses quilts playing and eating. We do it all.

Mine doesn't help me sew or quilt - except when we travel he asks if we need to stop at any quilt shops along the way. But is he is great around the house - does the vaccuuming and cleans the bathrooms. He gets out the shop-vac and does baseboards, furniture and moves furniture to vaccuum under. He will spend an hour on a bathroom. I don't do it to suit his liking so that's fine with me. I guess it comes from his being in the military for 23 years and working in a hospital lab. But he's the best - I wouldn't trade him for anything

My DH is a jewel! He cuts and I sew...then he quilts them. We are older and enjoy this time together. He helps me pick fabric and patterns.

Mine usually says, "oh that is pretty". He is very supportive.
