I love the tutorials, here. I was just looking at a man quilt, and it made me think... What if I could get my husband to stop wearing ugly shirts by making a quilt out of them for him? I wouldn' t have to hide them anymore.

Lmbo ,My husband is a farmer/trucker/biker, not that I am into fashion but he is still wearing snap up shirts he has had since the early 80's at least. Holes and all. I do have a small collection started but he will probly have a fit when he sees the ones I have snuck away from him, for now he blames the kids for the dissapearence.lol

My hubby's shirts are...ok, I guess. I'm tempted to steal a few of his old tshirts though, because he's been wearing them...FOREVER and no matter how often I buy him new ones, he always goes back to the old. I'm thinking I might be able to convince him to give me a few to throw together to back the quilt I'm making him...I hope. LOL

My DH has some that shouldn't ever be out of his closet unless they are being added to a trash can.

My husband must have gone to the same school as some of yours. He has shirts that are years old. Dumb ole me even patched some of them. He thinks I'm the "fashion police" a lot of the time. Little by little I'm going to get rid of some of them this spring.

Yes! Why is it they will wear the old yucky ones and leave the really nice looking shirts hanging?

We have a rule.. If the shirts are folded and put away those are 'Grubby' shirts to use while fixing stuff, lounging around the house or even workin around the farm here, but IF HE LEAVES THE HOUSE he has to use ANY shirt that is hung up... Ive tossed a few folded ones that HE deemed appropriate to leave the house in.. They got tossed so the argument would never come up again.. lol.. Problem solved.. :XD:

I made a quilt with DHs old flannel shirts. I added some from both Grandpas, brothers and a uncle and call it all the men in my life. DH loves this quilt and is saving more shirts for me to make another quilt with. I say go for it. He will love the quilt when it's done.
