Thanks for a wonderful tip! I think I will give my older machine an expensive thrill with a twenty dollar bill, maybe it will clean better than my old one dollar bill! LOL Learn something every day on this Board. Even though I am older than dirt and sewed my finger to a treadle machine when I was a small child, there is always a tip worth remembering.

A business card will work too. Both are lint free. Several years ago when we owned a motorcycle shop, I learned to use a business card to clean dirt or carbon buildup from the points on a motorcycle when the engine wasn't running smooth. Same principle - another use!

i use coats and clark and do not have a problem with it , but there was a talk on here not to long ago , how some people did not have such good luck with it , , buy a roll and try it i think it depends on the machine and the person
