    For the record, I have seen gift cards (like $100 for a spa day) go for 1/4 of retail price, so it isn't just quilts. You just have to have the right people in the room for auction prices to go high.
    I bought 6 gift cards at about 50% each a few weeks ago. I don't feel one bit bad about it, because I paid more than the guy ahead of me. And another thing about most gift cards, two meals at a pizza place are just a drop in the bucket for that business. Not the 25 or 50 or 100 one of us would spend making an item.
