:?: :?: I have a great granddaughter showing some interest in sewing/quilting but obviously she needs help and I'm too far away. My daughter can help her some and between us we put together some of the basics to get her going. I have been looking for some kind of instruction book with illustrations and basic information geared to someone her age, but this info seems to be non-existent. I have a lot of manuals, but they are too complicated for someone her age. I haven't even seen any very simple patterns explained in written form. Nothing on seam size, pressing, etc. Do you know where I might be able to obtain something like this?

Many quilt shops offer classes for kids during scheduled school breaks, you might want to contact a shop in her area to see what they offer. Joann's also does the same.
