Amen to that! NEVER let them see the checkbook - just give them an allowance!

You'd think so, wouldn't you! It will probably feel that way if I ever do get this thing made! We have a king bed with a 22 in. deep mattress!

My mother does, and in my younger years I used to feel sorry for her. Then I grew up and realized SHE'S the one who picked him, and actions have consequences.

he makes faces, but since he always gets what he wants in the end, I usually do too

I feel your pain! We bought a new bed a little over a year ago, with an 18" drop.
I am in for making some monster sized quilts, or putting on a white bedspread and making long bed runners and shams.
I want at least a couple that "fit"

My dd married a man that i really tried to talk to both of them about...(really incompatible), but they just "had to do it".
Thank goodness their are no children.

My old viking died, repair man said $99.50 for repair and they don't make parts for this anymore... came home with it...told DH about it and looked sad....I'll go to thrift shop to see if I could find one I said. No he said, you will only buy someone else's problems...get a new one. OK, I had already been looking for a new one, so that evening ordered one from ALLBRANDS. Happy camper!!!!

My DH and I have a great system for our Hobbies - we share with each other what we're doing, working on, etc. but he pays for his, I pay for mine and as long as we can do that, we don't really 'care' what the other one does. It works for us! I will say he did splurge for me Christmas and hired a house cleaner since between work, quilting, taking care of other family members, there weren't enough hours left in my day! Gotta Love the man
