I don't have to worry about losing my mind because first I have to find it!

I would always ask the Janitor at work to please gently return my brain cell, if he found it. He would laugh and say, "If I find it, I will treat it very gently!". There are moments every day, I wonder if it's still crying in a corner. Good thing, it appears, my lost brain cell is in VERY good company!

I also have found many things I had already bought when I began cleaning. I now have tried to organize in boxes and believe me i do not have to purchase blades for a long time. And I do believe someone steals my seam rippers.

I put things away all the time and forget what I did with them. I am still unpacking and trying to get a working plan for my things. It involves a lot of moving, stuffing things under beds and I am still not organized. I can find or get to anything. I am sure I will find things I forgot I had.

I'm currently living under construction while we are building our new house. I live and sew out of boxes and have been for the last 2 years. Trust me....I feel your pain.

It's nice to hear that we all put things away in a secure place, so we can be sure to find them later (LOL). We just never know what later that is going to be.

Don't throw out the stamping stuff!!!! Use your stamps with fabric dye to make new fabrics of your own.

I do that sort of thing all the time... not just with quilting stuff "I will just put this here, so I will know where I put it..." yeah, right! I read a book a long time ago, that suggested you use a card file system to keep track of things in storage. You number the box, then on a card list what is in the box, then file the card in an alphabetical file by item description...

I tried the file card thing one time, like you said, but I lost my file cards. LOL. I am so doofy!
